Green recovery of the lipid fraction from olive stones by supercritical CO₂ extraction: Process optimization and characterization for food applications
This study explores the sustainable recovery of the residual lipid fraction contained in olive stones using supercritical CO₂ extraction, a green and solvent-free technology. The recovered lipid fraction was comprehensively characterized to assess its potential for food and bio-based applications, further demonstrating the value of olive stones within the circular bioeconomy and supporting innovative, sustainable value chains from olive oil by-products.
